Tracy Glenz, MS

Ms. Glenz is a coordinator for CIDRAP's BioWatch program. She recently earned an MS in environmental health from the University of Minnesota's industrial hygiene program. Prior to getting her degree, she gained professional industrial hygiene experience as an active duty Air Force bioenvironmental engineering officer. Her responsibilities included development and oversight of programs to reduce worker exposure to physical, chemical, biological, and radiological hazards; promote safe drinking water; and deal with hazardous material, including hazardous waste. She also led teams trained and equipped to provide environmental sampling data and interpretation to incident commanders in the event of an attack or natural disaster. In addition she was an exercise coordinator and evaluator for homeland defense and natural disaster scenarios as well as for preventive medicine teams that set up operations in austere, remote locations around the world.

Ms. Glenz is a registered professional engineer and has been a project engineer for an environmental remediation contractor and a city public works department. She earned her BS in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
